Confession #19: I’m an impulse buyer…I’m not proud. Part 1

Hi everyone!

Since I had taken a pretty huge break from blogging, I actually purchased quite a bit of product. I decided I should probably do a Haul since I plan on reviewing a few of things in the very near future! I would love to hear your comments on the products I’ve purchased or even request a review from any of the products  you may be interested in purchasing!

So I’m writing this post at school and I don’t have all of my picture with me, I ‘m going to make this a two part haul, just because I can.

This is probably on of my favorite recent purchases. This lotion is seriously one of addictions! I’ve been using it since my freshman year of high school and have never gotten tired of it. It has an amazing relaxing scent hence “night time” and it moisturizes better then a lot of other lotion which I’m guessing is because its baby lotion. Anyways since I’m on a budget I decided to try the generic brand of this lotion ( Johnson & Johnson makes the actual lotion) and it is actually the same! It smells and feels just the way I’m used to which made me very happy! I recommend this lotion to anyone, I always put it on when I’m having trouble sleeping or when I need to stay relaxed (aka I have a big test) and It works wonders.

Equate “Night Time” Baby Lotion: $4.95

Maybelline Big Eyes: $8.99

LA Splash Liquid Eyeliner

Walgreen’s Brand Eye Shadow $1.99

Finally a couple of things from Elf!

Photo Finish High Definition Powder $6

Finally Clear Lash and Brow Mascara $3

I know this is a super quick haul and probably leaves a little to be desired, but I will be doing a review on these products within a few weeks!

Thanks for reading dolls!

Please share links or comments on your new purchases and how you are enjoying them! I always love to hear from you!

Confession #15: I have an obbsession with my vanity

Hi dolls!

So I haven’t written anything in literally 2 months. This is not OK at all! I’ve been back at school for a little bit and now that I don’t feel like I’m going to die from the stress I feel like I will be able to get back into my groove! I have so many posts in draft that it isn’t funny, so be warned you will be seeing this face pop up a lot!

Anyways, I moved into my new apartment, which I absolutely LOVE! My roommates are amazing, and so is the actual apartment. I’m thinking about doing a room tour soon, just so you can see how amazing it really is! In my new room my absolute favorite feature is my vanity! As I watched my makeup collection grow I became obsessed with having a cute and organized Vanity, and while mine may not look as cute as the one I’ve seen on pinterest. I absolutely LOVE it!

So here is a little gallery.

  • The wire organizing drawers came from IKEA,you can find it here. It was a steal at $14.99.
  • The wire organizing baskets came from IKEA as well you can find them here. They were $2.99 for a set of two.
  • The drawer organizers came from Walmart and were $4.99 for an 8 piece set. I can’t find the link but they are awesome!
  • The vanity was a hand me down from a friend, which I absolutely adore!

I hope you all enjoy my “comeback” post.

Confession #3: I feel pretty

Its not every day something this amazing happens! That’s right my friends I had a good hair day, as if that weren’t good enough, my makeup and my nails came out perfectly!! I just can’t find the words to express how happy I am! On the real though, having a good hair day is a rare thing for me, but one of the benefits of mixed hair is sometimes waking up to that perfectly tousled but still adorable bed head 🙂 I’ve plenty of people ask me how I achieve this, and most are shocked and appalled when I give them the answer.

One of my secrets to having manageable shiny hair is simply, not washing it every day. I know, it sounds gross, but seriously! I wash my hair once a week, and its soft, silky, and shiny. The reason this happens is because your hair’s natural oils are allowed to do their job! I recommend trying it, the first couple of days it might be a little greasy but in the end I promise it will be worth it!
