Confession #24: $20 a month is hard!

Hello All!

So as you can see it has been a while since I’ve last posted, school and internships take up so much time! I miss writing!

While I was thinking about the fact that I haven’t written in what feels like months! I realized that I have a ton I mean seriously a TON of makeup I have yet to blog about, I never even did a what I got for Christmas blog! I am so so so behind! I have decided that I want to start a YouTube Channel because sometimes I just don’t feel like writing to be honest! So you can subscribe by clicking the button on the side!

I have put myself on a makeup spending allowance  of $20 a month! Simply because I am a college student and life is expensive when you don’t have a job. I never realized just how hard it would be to stick to it!! I feel I have done a pretty good job of sticking with it so far though.

Amazon has been my best friend for the past few months. I have been buying a whole lot of random things that I probably don’t need but of course I want! This is going to be my first haul for the months of January and February, hopefully I will have the time to film my next ones! So keep your eyes open, I’ll be doing an update on the channel!

I hope you all enjoy!

Confession #23: The Jolly Vox Box made me Jolly!

Hi dolls!

So I’ve written before about the wonder that is Influenster.

If you haven’t heard about it please do check it out! I received yet another Vox Box from this wonderful company after only being with them for a very short time! I got their Holiday Box called the #JollyVoxBox which was once again filled with lovely goodies! I’m going to sort of just list what I got, because I haven’t had a chance to try things out yet… except for the candy. (LOL)

Puffs Ultra Soft and Strong To Go Tissue Pack: ($.49/pack)

So we all know that during the cold and flu season these tissue packs are amazing! Thankfully I haven’t needed to use this pack just yet, but I’m sure with school starting again I will catch someone’s malady.

NYC HD Color Trio in Long Beach Sands ($2.99)

Ok So this mini pallete is so nice! It is three colors, and they are rich and satiny, when I swatched them. I can not wait to create a look with them! (stay tuned)

Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in Stargazer ($5.99)

This lip lacquer looks amazing! The color is a sheer pink with a hint of gold, it reminds me of the Naked 3! It smells really nice too. I’m sure it will go nicely with the HD Colo Trio!

Skinny Cow Candy: Divine Filled Chocolates Peanut Butter Cream ($3.99/box)

It seems like everytime I open these boxes I’m hungry or I’m craving something sweet! These Skinny Cow Divine filled Chocolates it the spot, I got a whole box of the Peanut Butter Cream. I’m not a huge fan of peanut butter, but I actually liked these, the taste was not to over powering. The fact that each bar is only 130 calories definitely does not hurt my opinion on these yummy treats!

Ducklings Mini Rolls ($2-$3)

I loved this ducklings tape, and I was super excited   to use it to decorate a notebook or something for school! However, my little roll has seemed to waddle off (get it 😉 ) Anyway’s I hope it turns up, but I’ll use a stock photo for now.

That’s it! I love this vox box and I hope I continue to get them! 🙂 I also hope that you all will take a moment to check Influenster out! 🙂

Ciao for now!

Confession #22: I’m a Lancôme Lover!

Hi Dolls!

So I found this awesome website one day called She Speaks, and I signed up. I experienced my first twitter parties and wrote quite a few of my first reviews.  Anyways I had kind of forgotten about it being that I got super busy with school and all of my extra curriculars until I received an email  saying I had qualified to test some product from Lancome! I of course jumped at the chance, took a quick survey and promptly received my product.

What was the product?

I received Lancome DreamTone in 3 (which is for a darker complexion) check out all the stats of the product here.

My first Impression:

When I opened the box from  She Speaks I was instantly excited! The packaging of the product alone was so beautiful I couldn’t stand it! I mean just look at it

First of all the product is scented, which may be a little strong for my preferences, but the good thing about the scent was that it did not linger. As soon as you rub it in it goes away. DreamTone is also very light, its actually lighter then some moisturizers I have, and it doesn’t leave any noticeable residue on your face.

The application process is really simple. The bottle comes with a pump, and you only need one pump to get enough for your whole face. You simply put it on after you cleanse, and apply your moisturizer over that.

DreamTone is meant to be a skin tone correction serum. It is supposed to fix your dark spots, color imperfections, and uneven skin tones. I personally am a skeptical person, so I honestly did not think it would work, but I was happily proven wrong.

I wish I had taken a before picture because this worked for me like a dream! I had these dark spots right underneath my cheek bones that always bugged me because I would have to pile on the makeup to hopefully cover them up. I also have a birth mark underneath my right eye that is rather large and I don’t really like, and around that area I would have a lot of weird colorization, more often than not.

DreamTone helped me with both of those issues, plus totally evening out my skin tone and giving my bare face a bit of a smoother look. The dark spots underneath my cheekbones are virtually gone, the color imperfections around birth mark significantly diminished, and my skin just looked generally brighter! This was only after about a month of continuous use. (twice a day)  I am so pleased with Lancome DreamTone!

Lancome is so confident in their product that they are encouraging women to bare it all after they use DreamTone!

I am happy to say that I am comfortable enough with my bare skin (minus a few stress breakouts! I mean it is finals week) to share with you my contribution to Project #bareselfie!

So here it is!

My #bareselfie! It looks pretty darn good if I do say so myself!

I 100% recommend this product to anyone who is suffering from discoloration or anything of that matter, it works!

A huge thank you to SheSpeaks and Lancome USA for giving me an opportunity to try this amazing product!

As always thanks for reading!
